In late 1967 at 3107 Pico Blvd. in Santa Monica, Jeff Johnson opened the first retail space to feature Nike running shoes. Shuttered for decades, Nike snagged the lease on the building once again with a vision to revisit the glory days of that early dream, designed for runners today.
We created an era-inspired brand system that updated and modernized the original logo marks from that golden time. We sketched and concepted a few key "art moments" within the space, sourced furniture, and designed heat press-on apparel, patches and other assorted swag that visiting runners can customize their garments with.
